Basic Outdoor Camping Survival Class

Grades: 3rd- High School
Two different 6-Week Sessions to choose from:
Fall: Wednesdays 12:30-2:00
September 7th, 14, 21, 28, Oct 5th and (OPTIONAL) Sat Oct 22nd
Spring: Wednesdays 10:30-12:00
Feb 22nd, Mar 01, 08, 15,22 and (OPTIONAL) Sat Apr 01, 2023
Class Description:
This will Be a Fun Interactive Training Course with hands on practice and fun team work all the way through the 6 Sessions.
You will learning the Survival Priorities of:
Shelter -Heat- Water and Food and Fire craft Basics and Types of Water Purifications.
We will be Setting up tents, setting up stoves , lanterns and cooking some basic items.
Advancing to survival water sources, setting up different Types of tents and learning about Survival shelter making.
Testing Water Purifying methods and Practicing various Methods of Fire Craft and Safety.
And for a Grand Finale (OPTIONAL OFF CAMPUS SATURDAY), we will Meet in Azusa Canyons East Fork Trail Head for a hike and practice of what we’ve learned (except Fire craft) We will set up a campsite, learn some edible and poisonous plants, purify water and have a meal.
$175.00 per student which Includes;
Survival Magnesium/ Stick Fire Starter tool
Sample meals we prepare
Military MRE Meal Ration for Session 6 OPTIONAL Hike
Bottles of Water for the Hike
